Weekly Photo Challenge: Connected

This week we were challenged to interpret “Connected.”  I immediately thought of the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, which spans an impressive gorge just outside of Taos, NM.  We were there in April for a few short days and went to the gorge almost daily. I just couldn’t get enough.  Looking at the pictures I wish that I had had my DSLR at the time, as the little point-n-shoot did okay, but not as well as the big kid camera could have done.  What I’m saying is that the photos don’t begin to do it justice. My recommendation?  Go forth to Taos!  It’s a beautiful area, with lots to do.  I shared about it here and here and here and here and here.

The Gorge Bridge towers 565 feet above the Rio Grande river.  It’s pretty much in the middle of no where, yet it is the seventh highest bridge in the United States.  Who would have thunk?!  And, if your thirsty and hungry after checking out the bridge I recommend stopping at Taos Mesa Brewing for food and drink.
