Weekly Photo Challenge: Harmony

The cherry blossoms are starting to bloom.  Sigh.  Bliss.  Harmony?  Most definitely.

If I was told that I had to pick a favorite season I just don’t know if I could.  There’s spring: crocus, daffodil, tulip, cherry blossom, hyacinth, magnolia.  And then there’s fall, not a season that brings a lot of new blooms, but that’s when we have our nicest weather. I’m also a sucker for leaves turning color.  The dahlia bed also looks quite glorious in autumn.

It’s tough.

Good thing I don’t have to choose.  Instead, I simply get to embrace the fact that spring is peeking her fair head around the corner.

  1. Beautiful photos! With all the plants you were naming, I was thinking that pretty much fits what’s happening in my neighborhood right now. Lo and behold, we both live in the Pacific Northwest.

    1. Thanks, Susan! I kept adjusting the aperture to try to capture all of the textures while still hiding the busy road and on ramp to the freeway I was facing. 🙂

  2. These are all beautiful, harmonious shots that make me look forward to spring’s arrival in northern Illinois even more. We got a bit of snow again last night, enough to be pretty but not enough to be a problem. However much I enjoy winter (and I do), I’m officially ready for spring and your photos make me realize that even more.

      1. Anticipation is part of what makes each season so special, so I’m good with waiting. Besides, the spring flowers have begun pushing out of the ground and I’ll watch their progress with joy.

      2. I agree! Seeing shoots coming out of the ground always gets me more excited than perhaps it should. I’m easy to please that way.
