Solitude is something that has always come easily for me. For the most part, I’ve never minded being alone. The husband? Also an introvert. What a pair we make. It’s a hermits life for us! Our mutual love for solitude (is it solitude if we’re quietly together?) lends itself to a whole portfolio of photos of quiet beaches, quiet forests, quiet mountain trails.
One of the sweetest spots we experienced solitude on over the last year was, without a doubt, St. John. We went in the down season and, I swear, there were so very many times that it felt that we were the only ones on that island. Beautiful. Peaceful. Solitude.
Looks heavenly.

Solitude is so important in these multitasking times. And you can totally experience it with another.

And I am the QUEEN of multitasking. Maybe that’s why I feel so compelled to get outside…I have only nature and the camera to focus on instead of “the list of a dozen things.”

Thank you! The husband does beach solitude like a champ! He can sit and stare at waves for hours.
