Well, I can’t think of anything that I’m going to be atop this weekend, so I’m going to reach back in the archives to fulfill this week’s photo challenge.
As I’ve shared before, Mount Rainier National Park is one of my favorite places in the whole, wide world. Lucky for me, that gorgeous mountain is less than 2 hours away from us.
Last fall we made our annual return to the Paradise side of the park (we don’t tend to go there in the summer due to the masses of tourists…we sneak into less-populated parts of the park for our hiking fixes). It was a gorgeous autumn day. The sun was warm, the people were few, the trail stretched before us.
This view was taken on…well…the edge of a cliff. 🙂 It’s a viewpoint off-shoot on the trail that truly makes a person feel like their on top of the world, even if it causes them (me) to sort of hold the camera out with their eyes closed taking a few photos because they (me) have issues with heights.
Happy Friday! Enjoy the view!
Which trail is this off of? It doesn’t look familiar.

Lakes. Nice little easy loop…I think 5 miles or so.

Great shot especially when I know it was taken by someone who doesn’t like heights. 🙂
