If Elf Came to Visit I’d Serve Him this Cocktail

The first time I saw the movie Elf with Will Farrell I thought it was the stupidest movie ever and swore to never watch it again. I know…blasphemous. Now it’s a holiday favorite. It makes sense, then, that we would watch that movie while sipping this Cranberry Maple Bourbon Cocktail. Why? Because it contains maple syrup.

Now, a couple of days ago I told you that not all holiday cocktails have to be red and sweet or white and sweet.  I stand by that.  But, this little gem is a gorgeous ruby red and beautifully sweet.  Shall we get started?

Cranberry Maple Bourbon Cocktail (recipe from Lemon Blossoms)

4 oz unsweetened cranberry juice
1 oz maple syrup
3 oz bourbon or whiskey
3/4 oz Grand Marnier (or a GM knockoff)

Shake in a cocktail shaker filled with ice, serve in a glass of your choosing (I love my holiday wine glasses and serve any and all beverages in them throughout the holiday season).
